Calabria, Tarentum AR Nomos. Circa 280-272 BC. Youth on horseback right, crowning himself; [Ξ]Ω to left, ΞΑΛΟ and Ionic capital below / Taras on dolphin left, holding aphlaston and distaff; TAPAΣ below, AN[Θ] to right. HN Italy 1014; SNG ANS 1142; Vlasto 803. 6.43g, 20mm, 12h.

Very Fine. Struck from a worn obv. die, but of fine style and well-centred. Slightly porous. Toned.
